My darling readers, Ellie loves... is entering it's fifth month of existence and I'm sitting back and taking stock today. It's my passion in progress and my readers are growing every week which is so exciting. I love writing it, and I really love hearing from you when you comment and email me with your ideas and input. It's so nice to know that I'm not typing away into the blackness of the blogosphere and I sincerely value your feedback.
So, I'm wondering if there is anything else that you would like to read? Anything else you would like to see? More of something? Less of something else? Or is it ok as it is?
I'm considering adding video to Ellie loves... and doing some makeup tutorials, would this interest you?
If you'd like to comment below to let me know, I'd be thrilled.
Thank You!
video! yes please! I know i'm a newer follower, but i do love your blog! it's so nice to read xx
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work Ellie. Love the different postings...fashion, makeup, homes etc. The makeup tutorials sound really great.
ReplyDeleteI may be somewhat biased :) but I love your blog. A little ray of sunshine on even the darkest of days. Keep going Ellie! xxx
ReplyDeletelove the blog - tutorials sound great!
ReplyDelete*blushing*
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to fish for compliments...you're all very kind.
Love love LOVE the blog! Really lovely to read. Video tutorials would be fab!!
ReplyDeleteAny ideas on how to spread the word further to more readers? Any help you guys cold give would be so appreciated...
ReplyDeleteHi Ellie, I love reading your blog and it's my first time commenting. I think your blog is really great and I especially love all your tips on make up and which products you use as a make-up artist. Tutorials would be brilliant to see too.
ReplyDeleteA good way I learn about new blogs is when there are guest bloggers on the blogs which I read regularly. So you should try doing some guest posts on other blogs like beaut.ie etc..
GOOD LUCK!!
CiaHa86 - great idea, guest blogging on other blogs. See if beaut.ie would let you do a guest blog, they're fans of you over there :) Or get yourself on some blogrolls, that's where I find new blogs.
ReplyDeleteAside from that set up a twitter account and tweet your new blogs, you'd be surprised what catches on via the world of twitter.
Do a bit of research of blogs out there that are like yours(none cos this is so fab! But similar ones) which ones are coming up first in the search engine, have a quick look to see why they are, and apply that to your fabulous blog, that should attract some more readers, you'll keep them by doing what you're doing now :)
Hi Ellie
ReplyDeleteI like reading your blog but it is a bit of a mish-mash? I am less interested in the family/kid stuff than in the makeup and fashion, sorry! maybe this is because I am 21 and not thinking about family stuff or interiors, more about just Saturday night... it is a turn off for me to see some baby things.
Love the blog. I like the variety. Would love to see make up videos. Keep up the good work. Sandra.
ReplyDeleteHave to say I totally love your blog. I love the variety, its a bit like a mysterious magazine, you never know what will come next. It always, always something beautiful though. I think the make up tips are great, so videos would be totally fantastic. Don't change though, it's great already.
ReplyDeleteEllie, i love your blog, i look forward to reading it everyday, it's honest and it comes from the heart and that really comes across. I especially love your makeup reviews, beauty and skin care advice. Make-up application is definitely not one of my strongest points so the more advice i get in these areas the better. So if i was to request any additions it would be application advice and how to achieve certain things eg the perfect nude lip, achieving the perfect day look etc.
ReplyDeleteKeep up all the great work!
Hi Ellie,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog - it's great. Yes to make up tutorial videos! I love your fashion tips too. I say keep it up - more of the same would work for me.
Hope you are well.
Lots of love,
Jo xxxx
I would LOVE to see you do make up tutorials! Since you're a prof make up artist I reckon you would be a huge hit! Please please please do it :-) I'd love if you did something like "Tricks of the trade" where you told us little tips youve picked up in your job! xxx

Hi Ellie
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. It's fantastic!!
Would absolutely love to see make up tutorials here but definitely keep up the fashion and interiors as well as they're also part of what makes your blog so enjoyable to follow :-)
Hi Ellie, I too love the blog..I really locve the mix and variety - it keeps it fresh and interesting with picks of interiors, make-up, fashion, Lulu and family...Please don't go changing it too much!!!
ReplyDeleteI too would also love some tutorials especially as I'm stuck in a make-up rut at the moment and could do with some help and advice. Other than that I really don't think you could do much more to make it any more perfect!!!
About getting the blog out there - what about Facebook... I know a lot of people hate it but it has its uses and someone mentioned twitter earlier too! Personally I don't use twitter ( I have enough with blogs and facebook)but it has strong followings...
Anyways - brilliant job so far with the blog - keep up the great work....:)
Tech support is currently in having a cup of coffee and watching football focus. Normal service will resume soon
