George Michael's Freedom video was pivotal in my desire to become a makeup artist too. I thought they were all so beautiul that I was determined to work in a field where I could be involved with creating this beauty. I've never looked back! It's been a rollercoaster of a career so far, but it's brilliant and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I adore her for her chameleon quality; she had no fear to change her look drastically to serve the purpose of getting a great shot, including having her long hair cut to a boy's style on a beach with no mirrors to dying it this amazing red when all models at the time were either blonde or brunette. She is a modelling and fashion trailblazer.
I met her a few years ago and I was so blown away I became completely shy! She was very sweet though and stunning in the flesh.
You know they say 'never meet your heroes' ? Well , I did, and it was OK.
Fashion crush still intact!
Who is your favourite 90's model?
Has to be Cindy Crawford. My friend and I were OBSESSED with her in the 90s! She still looks fab and is so classic. My friend actually met her in LA....she rang me screaming down the phone after they met!
ReplyDeleteLinda with red hair. Shalom Harlow, Amber Valetta. Tatjana Patitz. god don't get me started... will have to get all the Vogues out!
