She's in Vogue

Style Crush Warning! In the past few days Emmanuelle Alt has taken over from Carine Roitfeld as editor in chief of French Vogue. She is the epitome of Parisienne chic with her fierce style. She seems to unfalteringly champion the skinny trousered wide leg stance with a powerful jacket and killer heels along with a virtually makeup free face.

I think her look is superb; it appears thrown together in nonchalance, but mais non! This is low key Paris style at it's very best...

Emmanuelle makes a leopard coat look so chic...a challenge too hard for many mere mortals.

Her daughter Francoise may be the most stylish tot in the world, in a sophisticated French way, not a Suri Cruise princess-y way! I love her mini trench, rolled up jeans and ballet pumps...adorable.

Coveting The iPad

I went to dinner in my dear friend, Emma's house on Friday and I fell in love. No, not with another man, sillies. With her iPad...

Now, I know they are around a while but this was the first time I really got to have a proper look at one and it was good. I fell hard for it's sleekness, it's ease of use, it's feeling of technological newness. Pictures look great, the apps are fabulous, it's so damn exciting - I want one!

Good old Apple -as always at the forefront of design, where they deserve their spot and where they'll stay...

Black Pearl. It sounds so opulent and luxurious....and indeed it is. This is Chanel's latest nail polish that will hit counters on the 28th of January. It is a glossy, glamorous pewter tone with just the right amount of shimmer that will take you in to the Spring months with ease. Not too dark, not too light; it is a transitional beauty. Run, don't walk to counters, this will sell out!

Stripes for Spring

As some of you may know, I have a passion for all things with blue and white stripes. I really like this new top by J Crew for it's fresh Spring appeal.

I have also re-discovered my love for this retro Cornishware crockery. I think everyone had some of it in their homes as they were growing up! It's having a style renaissance now and I'm in full support. Now there's a surprise!
