Happy Halloween

It's the spookiest day of year! Watch out for goblins and ghouls, witches and wizards and perhaps the odd bumble bee (Lu!)

Hope you have fun with some little people as darkness falls - remember to get some goodies for the creepy callers to your door as they will be displeased if they are disappointed and may put a curse on you.
Just a warning my dears, a terrible warning...

Mwahh ha ha ha ha......

{The Friday Freebie} Rockstar Tan Fame

To finish off my month of Pink Friday Freebies to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month I have the super-fantastic Fame from Rockstar Tan to giveaway...
Regular readers will know that I am prone to waxing lyrical about this wash off tan as it's the one with the best tone on the market in my view. It's natural in both colour and ingredients, using organic elements to help nourish the skin. It also hydrates and leaves a subtle sheen on the skin which is a lovely feature. I use this on myself a lot and also on loads of my makeup clients.

I have two large tubes and six mini tubes to give away so leave me a comment below to enter (and buy a pink ribbon - just 'cos October is over doesn't mean we should forget!)

The winners will be chosen at random and announced on Monday...

Happy Friday my lovelies!

Seats Of Gold

I'm quite taken with this idea of painting chairs. It must be that nesting instinct again! I'm pratically stalking around my house looking for things to paint/fold/arrange. But seriously though, aren't these gold chairs amazing? I would love a set of gold Eames chairs like the one above from OkayArt.com. They would look so great around an old wooden table...

This is a vintage Arne Jacobsen Egg chair in old worn gold...Lovely

This painted armchair from Anthropologie is really rocking my world today...it would look so fantastic as an accent chair...

Earring Lust

Look how pretty these earrings are!  Despite never really being a wearer of dangly earrings, I have been admiring some on people lately and think I may branch out, away from my usual studs. These are all from Anthropologie and are surprisingly reasonable for their loveliness.

I think these are a nice variation on the ubiquitous gold hoops. And a lot more stylish...

Delicate rose quartz....simple and lovely.

Wouldn't these make a great statement? With a messy bun and red lips...mmmm

In Praise Of Glasses

Yes, I know they are the bedrock of geek chic and every second person seems to be wearing them these days whether they need them to see or not. But I thought I would celebrate them anyway!

I love this look with the denim shirt and freckles... very cute!

Round and very cool....in a modern Mia Farrow way.

Tortoiseshell, stripes and messy hair. Gotta rock the messy hair with glasses!

Doesn't she look sexy! In a good way...

I think this woman is so beautiful. She looks intelligent, chic and interesting.

I love the retro feel to these frames...

A paler tortoiseshell frame is fantastic for blondes. And again with the messy hair and a red lip...perfection!

Fame Fatal

Allow me to introduce my new nail colour passion. Fame Fatal by Essence. It's a perfect tomato red shade (the pic looks pinker than it is) as with all of this Colour & Go range from the line, it really does dry in minutes and above all else...it is €1.29!

Blog, Bump & Beyond

Aaah!  How did it get to Wednesday so soon? Life has taken over this week therefore impeding my blogging pursuits. I did miss you my lovelies but just couldn't quite get to you - I hope you understand.
My nesting instincts are shouting at me loud and clear. I have tidied my house from top to bottom, sorted out the clothes for the new baby, made list after list of things to do...it's so funny, this nesting time, you find yourself with a crazy energy for painting and putting up shelves in preparation for the impending arrival. Seriously, I am about to paint an old chest of drawers a gorgeous cherry red to house the babies bits and bobs. This is not the normal me! Meanwhile, normal service will resume on Ellie loves today...

The five winners of last week's Friday Freebie are:
Kitty Catastrophe
Lynne
Art Donatella
Aisling
Emma

Email your postal details please!

(the picture isn't me and Lu but looks almost exactly like us at the moment!)

Two Hallways (for my Mum!)

My Mum has a hallway and door just like these and she is considering a re-design. Here are some ideas Mum!
x

It's Welly Time!

There's a serious nip in the air today. Actually it's not just a nip, it's full on cold! Time to get the wellies out to walk through the fallen leaves and be prepared for the snow that is forecast in the not too distant future...

The ultimate wellies are Hunters of course. I love this scarlet pair...

How cute with skinny jeans and a lacy dress...

Classic greens. Perfection with breton stripes and trench coat...

I am going to copy this exact look for Lulu!

Shorts and over the knee socks are really sweet (as long as it's not too cold!)

And this woollen tights and black boots combo might well be my 'welly style' for this season!

{Wedding Wednesday} A Bohemian Romance

Sit back and feast your eyes on this beautiful wedding full of natural, bohemian beauty. I love how this couple's relaxed style is so evident in these amazing shots...

No, it's not entirely traditional dress, but isn't it great! They look comfortable and at ease with everything...

She's wearing cowboy boots!

Can you feel the love?

Beautiful vintage lace...

I love this shot...

and this one...

And this one!

{Wedding Wednesday} Cakes & Table

I'm crazy about these cakes designs and tablescape by Saipua. The cakes are so low-key but perfect; decorated with peonies, figs and other blooms they are just gorgeous!

Isn't the table just beautiful...

I love that the cakes are kept to one tier and separate. It looks so much more abundant. The mix of icing patterns also rock!

Perfect placement...

Have a look at their gorgeous site for more ideas...
