Good Words

This just resonates with me today.
Good to keep in mind, right?

The Perfect Words At The Perfect Time

You know when sometimes the right words have a way of finding you right when you need them? Well today, this poem called The Laughing Heart by Charles Bukowski came my way... My friend Paul posted this poem as his Facebook status and like a heat seeking missile it went straight into my heart and made such a difference.

Thank you Paul!

Script For a Sunday...

Handwritten script just conveys the message so much more strongly and personally don't you think? I love these three examples...

True, true, true...

Ne'er a Truer Word Spoke...

So many creative people suffer with self-doubt (I know I certainly do)...it is the curse of the artist.
Do yourselves a favour...take these words to heart.
They are true.

House Rules

I just LOVE this 'House Rules' sign from More Than Words. They can customise signs for you so you can add your kids names or your particular rules to live by! I think it's a steal at £60. Buy it here....

Giving Thanks

I just think this website is so charming...Leah's Mum told her to always be thankful and to show her appreciation, so she writes a thank you note to random things each day on her blog, Thx Thx Thx. Have a look, it will make you smile!

Have a nice weekend my dears...

A Thought...

Yesterday at the Prudence Beauty Awards judging day we spoke a lot about anti-aging products and the fervour with which women pursue and obsess about the younger looking version of themselves. All the time this quote was ringing through my head! To me age is irrelevant...you look as good as you feel and behave.... Just a thought!

Have a great weekend, see you on the other side!

Buy This Book

As someone once said, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did - only she did it backwards and in high heels.

This book has become my bible. It was given to me by my dear friend Jen after Lu was born but I'm only really getting to pay attention to it now.
It is a modern day guide for contemporary females that doesn't talk down to you. It is the antidote to every annoyingly saccharine and opinionated magazine article you've ever read. The topics covered include Love, Food, Career, Health, Politics, Philosophy, Motherhood, Money, Grief, Beauty and Sex to name a few. The tone of this book is witty and irreverent whilst being honest and intelligent.
You know how you feel when you've had a really good heart to heart with an old friend that sets you straight, shatters illusions and thus makes you feel good about yourself? Well this book can be that friend if your actual friend is busy!

You can buy it here.

Make sure you do!
