J.Crew Collection

I haven't posted about my beloved J.Crew in a while now. Primarily because I didn't want you to think I am obsessed (even though I am slightly!). But you really must checkout their new Spring collections - so very nice. A mix of nautical influences mixed with brights and prints...it's simply lovely. Have a look at their premier line -  J.Crew Collection here. And have a swoon at the rest of the site while you're at it; they ship here now so it's no longer out of reach!

Victorious Victoria

Last night at The British Fashion Awards, Victoria Beckham won the Best Designer Brand of the year. I for one am thrilled for her. I happen to love her designs and the fact that she has become appreciated by the notoriously cynical fashion industry is a very nice thing. There's been talk about who actually designs her pieces or the extent of her involvement, but I think that she has always been upfront in saying that she is not a trained designer, merely a fashion lover who has the opportunity to channel her ideas into these collections. So far, so fair in my view... Well done VB!

Here's a little reminder of her A/W11 show that she was honoured for...

Simple, elegant and classic...

I love this one in particular... I'd wear it in a heartbeat.

Navy & Gold

It's a classic pairing for a good reason. They look wonderful together. I love the subtle shot of sequins above...

Dress down the sparkle with a navy woolly jumper from Zara...

Ooh, I love this DVF dress...how divine for a glam Christmas party!

There's nothing I don't like about this shot...blazer, bag, watch, rings...swoon!

Silk simplicity with a delicate chain...

Now, that might just be the perfect blazer...

Navy metallic smoky eye...the contemporary way to rock a dark eye.

How lovely are these earrings, I'd love them to dress up a plain white T...

And this necklace with same white T!

Navy and gold work so well in interiors too..

I love that gold backdrop...so unusual.

Gorgeous arrangement...

Flowing Beauty

These are such a pretty sequence of shots I have been saving for a while. I just love the movement and the gauzy fabrics. So beautiful...

This is art...

Desert flamenco...

One day I want to wear something like this...

 Photography, fashion and art collide....

Nude softness...

So ethereal, so very lovely...

Happy Monday my darlings!

Looks I'm Loving...

Nice coat shape...

Loose fitting stripes. A well known love of mine!

Love the silk top and the necklace as well as her berry lipstick shade...

That jacket! That bag! That watch!

The trousers, sky high heels, loose top, scarf and bang-on-trend big shopper bag. Miranda gets it right.

Sparkly jacket over a plain T. I want it. Hello Santa?

Shoot Shots

Here are some shots from the shoot I worked on for The Irish Times a couple of weeks ago...

Ombre Pinks...

Loving the rust trousers and copper bicycle!

 Pretty rock chick...
The story on the makeup is in this post.
Styled by the fabulous Rosemary McCabe and the lady behind the lens was sweet Ailbhe O'Donnell.

Pretty Flats

Ok, I'm just going to say it. I don't love the slipper style flats that all the style mags/blogs are hailing as the New Big Thing. I do, however, love these gorgeous t-bar specimens from Chloe.  Pretty, delicate and feminine. I wouldn't mind at all if theses found their way to me come Christmas...

In Praise Of Glasses

Yes, I know they are the bedrock of geek chic and every second person seems to be wearing them these days whether they need them to see or not. But I thought I would celebrate them anyway!

I love this look with the denim shirt and freckles... very cute!

Round and very cool....in a modern Mia Farrow way.

Tortoiseshell, stripes and messy hair. Gotta rock the messy hair with glasses!

Doesn't she look sexy! In a good way...

I think this woman is so beautiful. She looks intelligent, chic and interesting.

I love the retro feel to these frames...

A paler tortoiseshell frame is fantastic for blondes. And again with the messy hair and a red lip...perfection!

It's Welly Time!

There's a serious nip in the air today. Actually it's not just a nip, it's full on cold! Time to get the wellies out to walk through the fallen leaves and be prepared for the snow that is forecast in the not too distant future...

The ultimate wellies are Hunters of course. I love this scarlet pair...

How cute with skinny jeans and a lacy dress...

Classic greens. Perfection with breton stripes and trench coat...

I am going to copy this exact look for Lulu!

Shorts and over the knee socks are really sweet (as long as it's not too cold!)

And this woollen tights and black boots combo might well be my 'welly style' for this season!
