Stella's Shoes

Begone the ubiquitous nude peep toe platform shoe! Your competition has arrived in the shape of this 60's inspired nude pump by Stella McCartney.  Check out the lines on these beauties...substantial but still chic, I reckon you could run for a bus and dance for hours in these..

How refreshing and different is the blockier heel with gold detail...

Great side profile!

Bag A Clutch For Autumn

I really like the new trend for over-sized clutch bags. Yes, they are a tad unpractical but what the hell - they look good!  I'm coveting this metallic one from Zara....

This yellow snakeskin beauty is also from Zara, wouldn't it brighten up black or neutrals like a dream!

I love the colour of this leather clutch from Asos...it's big enough to fit an iPad in there so you can get an idea of scale.
I adore this cobalt blue one with gold detail...

How fantastic is this canary yellow mock croc bag! I do love a bright pop of bright and this would be so gorgeous with denim and stripes!

Pretty Pots

What a cute idea...save your jam jars and tie together with ribbon (or even string) to make the most of different wild flowers.

Glitter & Peach

Wouldn't this make a pretty evening outift? Silver sparkles with a swishy peach skirt...

And of course the most pretty bag from Anthropologie to bring it all together....

My baby bump doesn't allow such a combination. But if I could, I certainly would!

Smashbox Smash It For Eyes

Eye shadow palettes that correspond to eye colour... Such a simple idea and one that has been done by a few brands previously but frequently as part of their seasonal offerings, not part of their constant line up. All change there then as Smashbox are launching these three permanent palettes to tantalise us....
The three Photo Op eye enhancing palettes called Blue, Brown and Hazel provide all eye tones with a no-brainer shade selection that is guaranteed to flatter (green eyes come under the hazel umbrella by the way). These images are a little dull compared with what you see when they are swatched on to the skin and having just been at their launch and with the palettes right here in front of me, I can vouch for their vibrancy! The top three shadows are soft, shimmery and great for day and the the lower three are deeper and more intense so come into their own for night.

Of course, there are no hard and fast rules in makeup and you can wear whatever shades you like but I love how these offer a quick solution with great quality (the textures are superb) and at a great price (€39)
Smashbox have some other fantastic new products hitting counters in September including a new foundation, a gorgeous highlighting product and some silky powders which I will be trialling this week... I will of course keep you posted!

A Place To Dine

I've grown extremely fond of mis-matched things. Mis-matched anything really but especially in interiors. Chairs at a table, style of art on a wall, spots with stripes, retro with modern... I particularly like these modern chairs with the wooden table and traditional art on the wall. What great chair colours too...

A butchers block table with yellow plastic chairs...

I can't actually tell you how much I love this rug in this bright airy kitchen!

Red chairs, white table and excellent floral display...mmmm

I'm really drawn to this dining setting... is it the great light and cool pictures? No, it's just everything about it!
