But I suppose I must give the fake tan people a chance! I must have faith that while I have been evangelically boycotting their products they have perhaps been slaving away improving them...
The last gradual tanner I tried was Johnsons Holiday Skin and my verdict was that while it was a great concept it didn't really deliver so well...the smell, oh dear God, the smell!
So, I know I am late to the St Tropez Everyday party, as it's been around a while but their latest claim that it has an ingredient that reduces the smell by 70% caught my imagination.
I tried it last week, and I have to eat humble pie. While I feel a bit of a fake; I don't look like one and more importantly, I don't smell like one! I used the light-medium shade and I think this is definitely dark enough for celtic complexions, I fear the medium-dark may be a step too far.
I like that it is genuinely quite moisturising so my skin looks nourished as well as slightly golden and not orange at all.
Dear readers, I'm converted.

Its funny isn't it? The dark skinned are trying all sorts of products to achieve a lighter skin tone and the lighter skinned are turning to tanning products to have a darker skin tone.
Yes....the grass is greener on the other side and all that!
